Court Record Shows Ohio State Quarterback J.T. Barrett to be Arraigned Friday on OVI, Backing Without Safety Charges

J.T. Barrett is suspended for Ohio State's next football game, but he'll take the first step to learn his legal fate following an OVI charge the day before.

The Buckeye sophomore quarterback is scheduled for a court date Friday morning at 9 a.m., according to Franklin County Court records. Barrett was arrested and cited for OVI early Saturday morning at the corner of High Street and Tompkins Avenue after being stopped at an OVI checkpoint near the area.

The report also shows a charge of "backing without safety" against Barrett, who was driving a vehicle with a Texas license plate.
