Counting Crows move up Monday concert by 4 hours in deference to Ohio State football

Originally scheduled to take place during the Ohio State football opener against Virginia Tech, a Monday night concert by the Counting Crows wasn’t in Jim Shertzer’s plans.

Then the show’s time was changed — a deliberate move to accommodate Buckeye fans and to drive ticket sales for the concert.

Now Shertzer and his wife will make the trip from their home in Indianapolis to catch the pop-rockers at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion. (Doors will open at 3 p.m., instead of the originally planned 7 p.m.)

“When they moved it, it made sense,” said Shertzer, 41, an OSU alumnus.
