We're living in uncertain times during the COVID-19 outbreak, but Ohio is gonna get through it together – and have some fun along the way.
As the outbreak nears its peak, Columbus is ready for a surge in patients, converting the Greater Columbus Convention Center to an alternate care facility that could house more than 1,000 coronavirus patients if necessary.
The beds and partitions have been set up, though it doesn't yet have necessary equipment like ventilators or pharmacy space yet. But when given the word, it can be ready to roll in 72 hours.
Similar work is being done at Case Western University's Health Education Campus in Cleveland and at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati.
