College football | Three former Ohio State players on Hall of Fame ballot

Included among the 200 players and coaches on the 2016 ballot for induction into the College Hall of Fame are three former Ohio State All-Americans: running back Keith Byars, linebacker Tom Cousineau and running back Jim Otis.

The ballot lists 76 players and five coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 92 players and 27 coaches from the divisional ranks.

The announcement of the 2016 class will be made on Jan. 8, in Scottsdale, Ariz., leading up to the College Football Playoff National Championship on Jan. 11.

Among the requirements to be eligible for the ballot, players must have been named a first-team All-American by a major-national selector as recognized and utilized by the NCAA for its consensus All-America teams.
