Notre Dame junior running back Greg Bryant will be suspended for the first four games of the season for violating team rules, the Chicago Tribune reported.
In 15 games, the 5-foot-10, 205-pounder has run for 303 yards and three touchdowns on 57 carries. He will be allowed to participate in team activities and remain in school during the suspension.
Bryant will miss games vs. Texas (Sept. 5), at Virginia (Sept. 12), vs. Georgia Tech (Sept. 19) and vs. Massachusetts (Sept. 26). He will be eligible to return Oct. 3 at Clemson.
