Labor Day had a different meaning to a Mount Union football player. Classes were held on schedule, and the team was on the practice field despite having a bye week. That was just fine with Tyler Baker, an offensive lineman from Hilliard Davidson. In waiting three long seasons to start on a regular basis, he understands off days are for others.
Although he’s a senior, Baker said the learning goes beyond his studies as an exercise science major, as the coaching staff has shifted him from center to left guard this season.
“I’m only 265 to 270 pounds, and I do have to be quick,” he said.
