College football | Buckeyes still No.1 in coaches poll, drop to No.2 in AP

Ohio State held on to its No.1 ranking in the Amway coaches poll on Sunday but saw Clemson move to No.1 in the Associated Press media poll.

The Buckeyes, who had been the first unanimous No.1 in the history of the AP preseason poll, saw their season-long grip of the top rung slip in the wake of their 28-14 victory over Minnesota on Saturday night. Clemson became the new No.1 after beating Florida State 23-13. The Tigers – No.3 a week ago -- grabbed 31 first place votes and 1,489 points overall compared to Ohio State’s 26 first-place votes and 1,460 points.
