College baseball | Nebraska 5, Ohio State 2: Offense goes cold at Nebraska

Ohio State collected eight hits and drew four walks, but left 10 runners on base in a 5-2 loss at Nebraska last night at Hawks Field in Lincoln.

Nebraska (29-11, 6-4 Big Ten) took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI double and single by Tanner Lubach and Ben Miller.

Pat Porter drove in Troy Montgomery in the sixth to cut OSU’s deficit in half, but Wes Edrington’s home run in the seventh made it 3-1.

Porter scored in the eighth on Aaron Gretz’s groundout, but the Huskers scored two more runs in the bottom of the inning.
