C.J. Stroud was honored by Ohio State on Sunday after leading the Buckeyes to a 52-13 win over Rutgers on Saturday.
Stroud was named Sunday as Ohio State's offensive player of the game for his performance in the rout of Rutgers, in which he completed 17 of 23 passing attempts for 330 yards and five touchdowns.
That confirms that Stroud – who's likely in line to win his third Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor of the season come Monday – also graded out as a champion for the first time in his Ohio State career, becoming the first Buckeye quarterback to earn champion honors this season, though Ohio State's full list of champions won't be announced until Monday afternoon.
