When Chris Holtmann took on the head coaching job at Ohio State, he brought with him some lofty expectations — ones that he has already well surpassed. In two seasons at the helm for the Buckeyes, Holtmann has coached to a 45-24 record, with a 2nd-place finish in the Big Ten in his very first season and two-straight victories in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, both with rosters that were not exactly dripping with top-tier talent.
This season is different, however, as Holtmann will have the fortune of coaching his most highly-touted group in his early tenure in Columbus.
