There could be a lot of roster movement among former Ohio State players in the NFL over the next couple of weeks.
At least 17 Buckeyes who played for NFL teams this past season are set to become free agents this week when the new NFL league year begins Wednesday. They’re allowed to begin negotiating with other NFL teams at noon Monday, when the so-called “legal tampering” period for impending free agents begins ahead of the official start of the league year at 4 p.m. Wednesday, when players can begin signing contracts with new teams.
This year’s free agency class includes plenty of Ohio State alums who should quickly receive interest from teams throughout the league.
