Cardale Jones might have the strongest arm in college football but it hasn’t been on display very often this season. Will this be the week it will be unleashed? Buckeye fans sure hope so.
When Cardale stepped in after J.T. Barrett was injured last season he brought an added dimension to the offense. He could throw a bullet pass 25 yards downfield between defenders as well as throwing the deep ball. In the first three games this season we have seen very little of either.
His ability to complete those passes made the defenses loosen up and not concentrate as much on the Buckeyes’ power game and the plays on the edge, both key components of coach Meyer’s offense.
