COLUMBUS, Ohio -- When Ohio State defensive tackle Tommy Schutt plants his hand in the ground during team drills, he need only look to his left to see an example of who he's trying to be.
Fifth-year senior Chase Farris is starting at right tackle. He's a player starting for the first time and trying to make an impact in his final year.
Schutt has seen the blueprint.
The Buckeyes had a few of those guys last year. Darryl Baldwin turned himself into a starter at right tackle before he left Columbus. Curtis Grant, who had shown flashes but never quite lived up to his five-star bidding in his first three years, had his most productive season at middle linebacker as a senior.
