Cal, Stanford to ACC Falls One Vote Short
With the Pac-12 (Pac-4?) breaking apart due to conference realignment, the remaining four schools in the conference – Cal, Oregon State, Stanford and Washington State – are stuck with trying to find a new home or going independent.
Cal and Stanford tried to (and likely are still trying to) join the ACC, making the Atlantic Coast Conference go as far west to the Pacific Coast, but that move hit a roadblock on Friday when only 11 of the 15 ACC schools approved the additions.
