After receiving new titles earlier this offseason, Brian Hartline and Tony Alford have now received raises.
Hartline will be paid $950,000 in 2022 after being promoted to passing game coordinator in January, while Alford will make $750,000 this year after he was promoted to run game coordinator.
For Hartline, who is entering his fifth season as Ohio State’s wide receivers coach, the new contract gives him a $350,000 raise from last season, when he had a $600,000 base salary. Alford receives a $132,000 raise after making $618,000 in 2021.
The new titles and raises for both coaches come after new Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman attempted to hire both of them away from Ohio State while building his initial staff in South Bend.
