On Sunday, the Ohio State Buckeyes picked up their second recruit in the 2020 men’s basketball class as 6-foot-7 power forward Zed Key pledged to play his college ball for Chris Holtmann’s squad. The Glen Head, NY senior made the pick official in a ceremony at his high school, Long Island Lutheran.
A three-star prospect, Key is rated as the fifth-best player to come out of New York in the current recruiting cycle, and is the 158th rated player nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
In addition to the Buckeyes, Key also held offers from Florida, Wisconsin, Providence, Boston College, Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Pitt, Penn State, Illinois, and 19 other schools.
