Ohio State’s romp at Oklahoma not only boosted the Buckeyes in the polls, it also made an impression on a couple of blue-chip prospects from Texas who were guests of the Sooners for the game.
Defensive back Jeffrey Okudah of Grand Prairie, Texas, long considered a lean toward the Buckeyes, had been showing increased interest in Oklahoma, said Marc Givler of Rivals.com. But, Givler added, Okudah was impressed with OSU’s secondary play against the Sooners. “Then (OSU defensive co-coordinator) Greg Schiano visited his school on Monday and that just kept the momentum going,” Givler said.
