Ohio State is attempting to woo quarterback Tate Martell from his commitment to Texas A&M, and the interest between the Buckeyes and the nation’s No. 1 dual-threat prospect for the 2017 recruiting cycle appears to be mutual.
Martell, of Las Vegas, made an unofficial visit to OSU this week. He said on social media that he had dinner Wednesday with coach Urban Meyer and quarterback J.T. Barrett at Eddie George’s Grille near campus, and he attended the Buckeyes’ practice Thursday morning.
Should Meyer and his staff manage to flip Martell, it would set up an interesting situation for the 2017 class.
