Ohio State football coaches jumped wholeheartedly into the chase for Wyatt Davis — Rivals.com ranks him No. 1 among offensive guard prospects nationally in the 2017 cycle — and the pursuit appears to be close to bearing fruit.
“His unofficial visit to Ohio State a few days ago went much better than anticipated, to the point where Ohio State may be in a very strong position to land him,” Rivals recruiting analyst Marc Givler said Thursday.
Davis, from Bellflower, California, is expected to make his choice known this afternoon.
He was once thought to be leaning heavily toward Alabama.
