Bob Hunter commentary | Rumblings: Oddsmakers not too harsh on Blue Jackets coach

It is probably of no consolation to Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards, but an 0-4 start that is the worst in team history wasn’t enough to make him the favorite on Las Vegas betting website Bovada to be the first NHL coach fired this season.

That honor (honor?) belongs to Boston’s Claude Julien, whose Bruins started 0-3 but won their fourth game. Darryl Sutter, whose Los Angeles Kings also started 0-3, is the second choice at 2-1, followed by Richards (5-1), Pittsburgh’s Mike Johnston (11-2) and Dallas’ Lindy Ruff (6-1). Ruff made the list even though the Stars started 2-1.
