Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott was named the 2015 Big Ten offensive player of the year, and teammate Taylor Decker is the offensive lineman of the year in the offensive awards announced by the conference tonight.
Not bad postseason recognition for an OSU offense that was considered to have underachieved during most of the season before cranking it up – the running game especially – in a 42-13 win over Michigan. Elliott rushed for 214 yards, tying Eddie George for the most 200-plus games (five) in OSU history. Elliott also moved in between Archie Griffin (5,589 yards) and George (3,768) into second place on the OSU career rushing list with 3,812.
