The Big Ten announced its annual awards Monday night and Ohio State was left without a first-, second- or third-team selection. Three Buckeyes did earn honorable mention All-Big Ten accolades: junior Marc Loving and sophomores Keita Bates-Diop and Jae'Sean Tate.
The Big Ten's Player of the Year was Michigan State's Denzel Valentine; Coach of the Year went to Tom Crean; Freshman of the Year was Wisconsin's Ethan Happ; Sixth Man of the Year was Indiana's Max Bielfeldt; and the Defensive Player of the Year was Purdue's A.J. Hammons.
The Big Ten's all-freshman team consisted of Happ, Indiana's Thomas Bryant, Purdue's Caleb Swanigan, Maryland's Diamond Stone and Minnesota's Jordan Murphy.
