Brian Bennett: I don’t think the defending champion, a program that has won the league title in two of the past three seasons, can any longer be considered a dark horse. It’s true that the Spartans have been lurking a bit underneath the radar, both because of their early schedule and because of all the hype around Ohio State and Michigan.
