Bri'onte Dunn lost the privilege to call himself an Ohio State football player Monday evening, when head coach Urban Meyer dismissed him from the program for a violation of team rules.
Meyer did not specify which rule the fifth-year senior running back broke, but details emerged Dunn allegedly hit and choked his girlfriend. That is one of Meyer's cardinal offenses, of which is posted on the wall in big bold letters of Ohio State's locker room inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
Dunn's girlfriend called 911 in the 5 a.m. hour Sunday to report the alleged incident.
