When newly-elected representative Anthony Gonzalez heads to Washington D.C. for his first State of the Union address as a congressman, he'll be joined by his old head coach and mentor.
Gonzalez invited Jim Tressel to be his guest for Tuesday night's state of the union address, according to Jessica Wehrman of the Dispatch Washington Bureau. Gonzalez, of course, played three years at Ohio State under Tressel.
The invite is a mark of gratitude for his former head coach, who urged Gonzalez to run for public office and mentored him throughout the process.
