INDIANAPOLIS -- Adolphus Washington thought he had ruined his football career. Arrested in a Columbus hotel room in December on a solicitation charge, the Ohio State senior defensive tackle thought he might be done.
"That was the first thing that ran through my mind, that maybe my career was over with," Washington said Friday at the NFL Combine, speaking publicly about the arrest for the first time.
Washington talked to an Ohio State staffer, then a lawyer and put his agent on damage control once he knew his college career was over as Urban Meyer suspended him for the Fiesta Bowl.
