Back in July, new Ohio State basketball head coach Chris Holtmann received his first commitment for next year’s cycle when the Buckeyes got word that ‘18 SG Torrence Watson of Whitfield School (MO) announced his pledge to the program.
Watson, who is currently graded as a high three-star prospect, is a 6'5, 175-pounder who offers multiple ways to put the ball in the hoop. The Saint Louis native is the fourth-highest-graded player in the Show Me State. Furthermore, Watson also is slotted as the 121st-overall player in his class and a top 25 shooting guard.
About two weeks after his commitment to the Scarlet and Gray, Land-Grant Holy Land’s Kyle McKinnon caught up with Watson.
