It had been a quiet couple months for Ohio State recruiting. With the Zach Smith scandal, and Urban Meyer suspension to focus on, the Buckeyes didn’t spend a ton of time recruiting in August, and then with the season starting, commits slowed to a near stop from August through October. The Buckeyes landed Jameson Williams, but he was the only Buckeye commit in that timespan.
They broke that dryspell in a huge way today, landing 2019 running back Marcus Crowley earlier, and now, 2020 receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Smith-Njigba is the seventh member of Ohio State’s 2020 class, and the first receiver, meaning he’ll likely get to know the quarterback of the future at Ohio State, Jack Miller, very well over the next year before signing with the Buckeyes.
