When Chaparral (Az.) fell to Pinnacle last Friday by a 23-7 score, the Firebirds did so without starting quarterback Jack Miller. Thursday, it was confirmed that they'll have to play without their signal caller for the remainder of the season.
Miller, a 2020 Ohio State commit who's thrown for 2,431 yards this season, tweeted Thursday that his junior year had come to an end thanks to a knee injury he suffered on Oct. 12 against Mountain Pointe.
"This has been an unforgettable season with my teammates but due to my knee injury my doctor will not clear me to return to the field, I’m recovering great and I will be back better!
