Is it a little more regulated than it was back in the day? Sure. Is it snowing? No, but it's still plenty cold outside. Is Ohio State gently trying to discourage students from doing it? Sure seems that way.
But none of that matters. Once again, Ohio State students participated in one of the great Buckeye traditions, jumping in stupid-cold Mirror Lake in a community-wide display of just how much they hate Michigan.
Cell phones and shoes were lost. Basically everybody is going to get the flu. Mistakes of all kinds were made. But the experience of jumping in that throng of humanity will last a lifetime, and many will count what happened tonight as one of their favorite memories from their time at Ohio State.
