One of the most important things in recruiting can be the formal visit. For some student-athletes, seeing the team in action, seeing the atmosphere at games, and seeing the team they are visiting put on a dominating display can seal the deal right then and there. Recent commit Reid Carrico is a prime example of that fact. He did not plan to commit to the Ohio State Buckeyes, but after seeing OSU’s beatdown of Cincinnati and speaking with Al Washington, he was sold. OSU will be hoping they can work that magic on a couple prospects that are scheduling their trips to the Horseshoe.
