“We have accomplished so much here and now I want to accomplish more at the next level,” Thomas said to Schad. “I plan to bring hunger to succeed, route-running, hands and ability to attack the ball to the next level.”
Thomas has been a consistent force for the Ohio State offense over the past two seasons, posting 799 and 781 receiving yards respectively with nine touchdowns in each of those campaigns.
Projected by several NFL Draft experts to be a late first-rounder/early second-rounder, the Los Angeles native has impressed scouts with his ability to both adhere to and improvise on routes while providing explosiveness to make tackles miss at the second and third levels. He was a third-team All-Big Ten selection in 2015.
We'll have more coverage on Thomas' departure from Columbus as the day progresses.
