The Ohio State Buckeyes offered a scholarship to 2017 Cincinnati (OH) Winton Woods defensive tackle Jerron Cage last month, and he may very well be a good bet to commit to the program when he attends Friday Night Lights on July 24th.
247Sports' Bill Kurelic has placed Woods on his "commitment watch list" for the event, especially with Woods' parents slated to join him on the trip to Columbus.
“Ohio State and Michigan State are still the top two,” Cage said recently of his current favorites list. “Ohio State still has a little edge.”
However, when asked about whether he'd commit to the Buckeyes during Friday Night Lights, Cage had a coy, perhaps encouraging response.
“We’ll see,” Cage said flatly. Ranked as the #12 defensive tackle in the Class of 2017 and #4 overall player out of the state of Ohio, Cage currently holds offers from OSU, Cincinnati, Illinois and Kentucky.
