After an impressive showing at the Ohio State Buckeyes' 1-Day Position Camps back in June, 3-star Columbus defensive back and Purdue commit Jacob Long came back for the program's Friday Night Lights camp in hopes of generating enough interest for an Ohio State scholarship offer.
“It went good,” Long said. “They said they were amazed how much I improved since the (June) camp. I talked to coach (Chris) Ash, coach (Kerry) Coombs, and coach Fickell. They want to see my first few games this season."
“I’m going to get them film,” Long said. “I’m definitely still interested in them. I’m going to try to get to one of their games.”
The six-foot, 180-pound prospect had scholarship offers from West Virginia and Virginia before deciding to sign on with Purdue on June 9th. However, it appears he could be an easy flip if the Buckeyes decide to join the fray down the road.
