Your Ohio State football recruiting news update for August 27th:
The Ohio State Buckeyes may have 'lost out' on four-star WR Ahmir Mitchell after he committed to Michigan on Thursday, but they may indeed have bigger recruiting fish to fry if they can land an in-person audience with five-star Tampa (FL) Catholic receiver Nate Craig-Myers.
Speaking to 247Sports, Craig-Myers outlined his current thinking in regards to official visits for the upcoming 2015 college football season.
"I’ve set up Notre Dame for the USC game October 17th,” he said. “I’m definitely also trying to make it to North Carolina and Ohio State. My mom doesn’t want me to take officials to the instate schools because it’s right down the road. I’m still working on the last two. I know ‘Bama definitely has a shot (to get a visit).”
He also has some potential unofficial visits in mind for the fall.
“I definitely want to get up to the Florida-Florida State game, Auburn-Alabama, I’ll be at Florida State-Miami, Florida-Ole Miss and I’ll be at Miami-Clemson and see Ray-Ray (McCloud III) and Deon (Cain) play.”
Ranked as the #1 wide receiver and #19 overall player in the Class of 2016, Craig-Myers currently holds a whopping 47 offers. He's coming off a major leg injury suffered at the beginning of his junior season, but remains atop almost every recruiting leaderboard for wide receivers among the most respected college football analysts in the nation.
