The Ohio State Buckeyes' undefeated season is once again on the line on Saturday when the Buckeyes host an inconsistent Maryland Terrapins team at The Horseshoe. While the game will be at forefront of everyone's minds, there's also plenty of intrigue to be had right now when it comes to the program's upcoming recruiting classes. Check out our weekend recruiting preview below for more info:
Kareem Walker Visiting Michigan
Four-star Wayne (NJ) DePaul Catholic running back Kareem Walker is currently an Ohio State commit and is ranked by 247Sports as the #1 running back in the Class of 2016 right now.
That's the good news.
The bad news is that 247Sports has confirmed an official visit for Walker to Ann Arbor this weekend when the Michigan Wolverines host the Northwestern Wildcats. Walker has been in contact with members of Michigan's staff for awhile now and UM is considered one of the main threats to OSU when it comes to a possible flip.
Ohio State In 4-Star ATH's Top Eight
Westwood (N.J.) Old Tappan athlete Jordan Fuller listed his top eight of Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, TCU, UCLA and Virginia Tech earlier in the week, and most major recruiting services are currently pegging Fuller as a heavy OSU lean.
Per a 247Sports report, Fuller is preparing to return to Rutgers for a second unofficial visit this weekend. He visited Piscataway last August.
Fuller has yet to list any of his five official visits, but he did say that Ohio State and assistant coach Chris Ash have been recruiting him the hardest.
Michigan Prep Star Says OSU Is College Football's Best Team
Four-star Detroit (MI) King 2017 cornerback Ambry Thomas lives in the backyard of two of Ohio State's main Big Ten rivals, the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans. However, he's still backing the Buckeyes as the #1 team in the country right now.
“Ohio State is still the No. 1 team in the country,” Thomas said. “I like their defense a lot. Their offense will pick it up.” Thomas says Michigan State @ Ohio State (November 21st) will likely be the next game he attends. He is also likely to attend Ohio State @ Michigan on November 28th.
