The Ohio State Buckeyes will have a new alternate uniform for the 2016 season. The school confirmed Monday that they'll wear 1916 throwback uniforms during the 2016 season. The new uniform image is embedded below.
The Buckeyes have not yet announced against what team they'll wear the uniforms. Last year, Ohio State wore its alternate black jerseys against the Penn State Nittany Lions in October.
The news was first reported by 247Sports over the weekend.
The uniforms are a throwback to the Chic Harley Era at Ohio State. Harley was a three-time All-American for the Buckeyes, and this year will mark the 100th anniversary of his first All-American season. In 1916, the legendary Harley led the Buckeyes to their first ever Big Ten Championship.
