The Ohio State Buckeyes have named their team captains for the 2017 season. It's a record nine players, highlighted by QB J.T. Barrett becoming the team's first ever three-time captain. The complete list of players is below.

DE Tyquan Lewis (R-Sr.)

DT Tracy Sprinkle (R-Sr.)
LB Chris Worley (R-Sr.)
That's five defensive captains and four offensive ones. Lewis and Price are both second-time captains, becoming the ninth and 10th players in school history to accomplish that feat. Campbell, McLaurin and Hubbard will have a chance next year to join that list.

The leaders for Ohio State once again face high expectations. After losing 31-0 to Clemson in the College Football Playoff, the Buckeyes are No. 2 in this year's AP Poll. They're behind only Alabama.
