Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer has named quarterback J.T. Barrett the starter of Cardale Jones, according to ESPN's Joe Schad:

Jones has been inconsistent all season, and after Barrett's extremely strong performance in their 38-10 victory over Penn State, completing all four of his passes for 30 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 102 yards and two more scores.
Jones, who has started every game this season, is completing 62.4 percent of his passes for 1,242 yards, seven touchdowns, and five interceptions this year while rushing for 130 yards and a touchdown on 50 carries.
Barrett, the reigning Big Ten Player of the Year, is completing 61.4 percent of his passes this season for 249 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions on 105 less attempts than Jones. He has also rushed the ball 29 times for 228 yards and five touchdowns.
