The #2 TE in the 2014 recruiting class will no longer be considering Ohio State - that much is for certain. What the Buckeyes did to earn a broadside from Luatua's twitter account is less clear.
At 11:06 pm on September 22, Luatua tweeted:
"And the shady business just started...."
According to the latest rumors, Luatua was scheduled to visit OSU on the same day as the #4 TE from the 2014 recruiting class, Mike Gesicki. With Gesicki much closer to committing, the Buckeyes coaching staff asked Luatua to reschedule his visit so that weekend could be focused on Gesicki.
Luatua didn't respond well, and decided to cancel his visit entirely rather than reschedule.
There is a silver lining for Buckeyes fans - the saga appears to have pushed Gesicki much closer to Ohio State than he was before. Two tweets from Gesicki's personal twitter account tell the story:
Four-star TE Tyler Luatua will no longer visit Ohio State this weekend. Mike Gesicki appears to be the top target at TE.

Gesicki is reportedly deciding between Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin. It'll be interesting to see if the reduction in Penn State's NCAA sanctions will have any impact on Gesicki's decision.
