The Ohio State Buckeyes' offseason has been rife with rumors surrounding quarterback Braxton Miller's future with the program, but university athletic director Gene Smith says that such rumors are not grounded in reality.
"He's not going anywhere," Smith said to Eleven Warriors on Thursday.
"No. He's not going anywhere," Smith added. "Where's the rumors? He's never said that."
There have been numerous reports that Miller could transfer out to a school where he's guaranteed a starting spot, but Smith isn't buying it.
"If you pay attention to him, he's not going anywhere. He loves it here first and foremost. He has a child. He's from here. He's in a good position," Smith said. "We have his medical records. Keep in mind, he's had challenges physically over the years. So he knows that this is a place where we're going to help him, we're going to take care of him."
Miller is currently embroiled in a three-way competition with Cardale Jones and JT Barrett for the team's starting QB job.
