According to Tim May of the Columbus Post-Dispatch, Miller re-injured his right shoulder (the same one that he had surgery on during the offseason) in Monday's practice. The shoulder - first injured against Clemson in the Orange Bowl - has been limiting Miller during Ohio State's preseason (he's been dealing with soreness for some time), but he was a full participant in a scrimmage Saturday that HC Urban Meyer saw as a major stepping stone in his recovery.
The timetable Meyer had been using appears to have been thrown off. While May can't confirm that Miller is out for the season, he thinks it's likely that redshirt freshman TJ Barrett will start in the season opener against Navy.
Ohio State is yet to comment on Miller's latest injury. We'll bring you all the latest updates as they become available.
