With a returning JT Barrett likely to at least get a look at becoming the team's full-time starting quarterback in 2015, Ohio State Buckeyes senior signal caller Braxton Miller has been linked to the likes of Oregon, Ole Miss and Duke as potential transfer options.
Now, it looks like Ohio State's Sugar Bowl opponent, the Florida State Seminoles, have been added to the list.
According to Tom D'Angelo of the Palm Beach Post, "Braxton Miller, the Ohio State quarterback who sat out the season because of a shoulder injury, has shown interest in transferring to Florida State, a source close to the program said. Miller graduated this month, receiving a degree in communications, and per NCAA rules, is allowed to transfer for his final year of eligibility and play immediately."
Miller is a two-time Big Ten offensive player of the year, and has thrown for 5,292 yards, with 52 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in three seasons with the Buckeyes, two of those as a starter. He's also shown a true dual-threat capability, rushing for 3,054 yards as well.
After going down for the season with a re-injured right shoulder, Miller seemed like a lock to regain his job with his extra year of eligibility in 2015. Head coach Urban Meyer hasn't publicly deviated from that plan, but the rumors persist that Miller could look to transfer elsewhere (such as to Florida State) to ensure himself of a starting role.
