Ohio State has most of their key targets already signed, but there are still a handful of storylines to keep an eye on during that lovely February tradition we call National Signing Day. Here are four key storylines Buckeyes fans will want to keep track of:
Will Mike Weber and Torrance Gibson stick with the Buckeyes?
Both Weber and Gibson have been getting lots of attention from elsewhere despite their commitments - Weber has been a major target for Jim Harbaugh even though he de-committed from Michigan in the middle of a loss to Marlyand, and Gibson is still getting attention from a number of schools throughout the South. Both are more likely to stick with Ohio State than they are to leave...but recruiting battles are never really over until the fax machines turn off.
Can Urban Meyer steal a St. Louis 5-Star from under Mizzou's nose?
Terry Beckner Jr. is the #3 DT in the Class of 2015, and he's become a major priority for Ohio State in recent weeks. A visit to Columbus in late January went very well, and while he's still widely expected to pick Missouri, there's a growing feeling among Ohio State insiders that he could end up in Scarlet & Gray. OSU has two DTs committed already, but both are 3-Stars and Beckner would be a major step up. He'll announce his decision at 10:45 AM ET on ESPNU.
K.J. Hill
The 4-Star WR is set to make his announcement at some point Wednesday morning (check out our Ohio State team page for details when they become available). He's down to Ohio State, Alabama and Arkansas, but the Buckeyes are believed to be some way out in front in the race for the versatile WR.
What's up with Isaiah Prince?
Prince started out committed to Maryland, flipped to Alabama late last month, then almost immediately reversed course after getting a phone call from Urban Meyer and said he'd make his final announcement on National Signing Day. Maryland is the favorite, but this one has been hard to get a read on from the beginning. Stay tuned.
