Ohio State's freshman quarterback J.T. Barrett has officially been diagnosed with a fractured ankle after being carted off the field during the Buckeyes win over Michigan on Saturday.

Barrett's season is obviously over, as the quarterback will have surgery to repair the fracture and begin the healing process to get ready for the 2015 season.
After taking over for the suspended Braxton Miller, Barrett posted one of the best seasons in college football, throwing for 2,658 yards and 33 touchdowns, while also rushing for 849 yards and nine more scores.
Backup quarterback Cardale Jones took over for Barrett late in the game, and will presumably be the starter for the Buckeyes for the remainder of the season.
