Let’s face it. It’s been a rough year for Ohio State Buckeye fans. Bauserman. Losing The Vest. Suspensions. Bauserman. Tattoos. Bauserman. However, after asking a select few Buckeye students recently, it is apparent. The Buckeye faithful would trade every single victory from this year for a single victory over that team from up north. Ohio State fans would trade EVERYTHING this year for a victory in “The Big House” this weekend.

That is how much we hate Michigan.
Every year. The entire campus dedicates an entire week to the game, aptly named “Beat Michigan Week”. The Tuesday night before the game, 20,000 students jump into freezing Mirror Lake, no matter what the weather conditions are, just to show support for the team and voice our displeasure for a certain blue and yellow team from up north.
That is how much we hate Michigan.
After every game, win or loss, students, alumni, and fans alike join in singing “We don’t give a d*** for the whole state of Michigan, we’re from O-HI-O” as they file out into the shadow of Ohio Stadium. At every sporting event, the time is yelled out, and the fans respond, “And Michigan Still Sucks!” Even Michigan State simply calls themselves ‘State’ to disassociate themselves with that other team.
That is how much we (and the rest of the world) hate Michigan.
Michigan hasn’t defeated the Buckeyes since November 22, 2003, which by my (apparently sub-par) calculations, that is eight years. To be exact on game day, that is 2925 days. Two thousand. Nine hundred. Twenty-five days. In many societies, the winning streak is now at the age of reason. A win this week for the Buckeyes will make it seven in a row, just two shy of the Rivalry record.
That is how much we dominate Michigan.
The last time Michigan defeated Ohio State, Steve Breaston and Braylon Edwards were the standout wide receivers. John Navarre was the quarterback. Chris Perry controlled the ground game. They defeated Craig Krenzel, Santonio Holmes, Michael Jenkins, and Chris Gamble. And I was 12 years old. And Saddam Hussein was still at large. And Ronald Reagan was still alive.
Ohio State has Script Ohio. Ohio State has Beat Michigan Week. Ohio State has the

Mirror Lake Jump. Ohio State has Carmen Ohio, Archie Griffin, and Hang on Sloopy. Oh yeah, and six straight victories over Michigan. Michigan has…jumping up and hitting a banner.
That is how Ohio State lords over Michigan.
Wolverines, make yourselves useful, and go make me a sandwich.
It has been 2924 days since Michigan has defeated THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
And Michigan still sucks.
