Ohio State Buckeyes QB Cardale Jones has announced his intention to return to school.
Jones, who will be a redshirt junior next season, only started three games for the Buckeyes in 2014...but he definitely made an impression.
The 6'5, 250-lb Cleveland native completed 46 of 75 passes for 742 yards, 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in three games - first, the Buckeyes blew out #11 Wisconsin 59-0 in the Big 10 Championship game, then they proceeded to upset heavily-favored Alabama and Oregon teams to win the national championship. Jones - who entered the year as Ohio State's third-string QB behind Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett - was named MVP of the Big 10 Championship Game and won widespread praise for his playoff performances.
The Buckeyes will have no shortage of QB talent next year with Jones, Barrett and Miller returning. While Miller has been linked with a transfer elsewhere, this year proved that Ohio State will do just fine with any of these three talented players under center.
