Braxton Miller made the switch from quarterback to wide receiver for the Ohio State Buckeyes last season, and surprised many with the immediate success he had at the position. He has now emerged as a probable first- or second-round pick in the NFL Draft, as teams in need of a shifty slot receiver have him high on their draft boards. Here are the four teams most likely to draft Braxton Miller:
Cleveland Browns
Cleveland has a desperate need to upgrade all of their offensive weapons, and Miller is a very high-upside pick for them if he's still available early in the second round. Keeping an Ohio State player and Ohio native in-state would make him an instant fan favorite, and his game-breaking speed would certainly make life easier for whoever is under center for the Browns next season.
Cincinnati Bengals
The other team looking to grab miller at the back end of the first round is the Bengals, who have never had a dynamic slot receiver to pair with A.J. Green. The idea of keeping him in Ohio is also appealing to Cincinnati, and he'd also provide quarterback Andy Dalton with another dynamic athlete their offense has been looking for.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are another team that really needs to upgrade their weapons around Joe Flacco, and Miller would be the perfect complement in the slot to Steve Smith Sr. and Breshad Perriman, last year's first-round pick, on the outside. Baltimore hasn't had a playe who could turn a screen or short pass into a long touchdown since they set go of Jacoby Jones, and Miller has the potential to be much, much better than him.
San Francisco 49ers
Torrey Smith is a good deep threat, but outside of him, San Francisco will be forced to rely on players like Quinton Patton and DeAndrew White in the passing game. Receiver is definitely a big need for the Niners, and drafting a player who is as dynamic and has as much upside as Miller will make him very tempting for Chip Kelly. He'd be a perfect fit in their offense.
