The Ohio State Buckeyes have their biggest test of the season so far on Saturday, when they will travel to Madison to take a tough Wisconsin team. Some are calling for a Badgers upset since they're at home, but we know better. Here are three reasons why Ohio State will win this weekend:
3) Wisconsin's lackluster offense
The Badgers' defense gets a lot of love - as they should - but that overshadows how unimpressive their offense has been. Yes, they're a power, run-first unit, but they rank just 78th in the country in rushing to go along with 97th in passing. They're also averaging just 20 points per game against Power 5 conference teams. Now facing an Ohio State defense that ranks fourth in the country in yards per game allowed and second in points per game allowed, Wisconsin will struggle to move the ball again.
2) Recent history
Ohio State has simply owned this series, especially of late. The Buckeyes have won seven of the last eight meetings between the two sides - including four in a row - and two of the last three games in Madison. With a clearly more talented team in tow again this year, expect Ohio State to extend that dominance.
1) J.T. Barrett
Barrett has looked great so far this season, even with a not-so-great game against Indiana. He has only 981 passing yards and 342 rushing yards, but his command of the offense and leadership has put him at the forefront of the Heisman race. Of course, he also has 15 passing touchdowns and four on the ground, which shows how valuable he is.
Barrett also has a history of shredding good defenses. He accounted for 252 yards and four touchdowns (with no turnovers) against Michigan last year, and he'll have another big game against the Badgers.
