The Ohio State Buckeyes are in great position to open up the College Football Playoff era with back-to-back championships, but there's a still a few questions to be answered before the team starts its title defense. Here's 3 Burning Questions For Ohio State Football In 2015.
1. Who Exactly Is The Starting Quarterback?
Most college football teams don't even have one elite quarterback to call their own. It'd be insane to even have two, but Urban Meyer has the blessing/curse of having three potential Heisman Trophy winners to choose from -- JT Barrett, Cardale Jones, and Braxton Miller. Don't expect this question to be answered anytime soon as it's gonna be one heck of a ride before we get any clarity on the matter.
2. How Will OSU Replace Devin Smith & Evan Spencer's Production?
The two aforementioned wide receivers were critical to the team's championship run during their senior years, with Smith providing the home-run threat and Spencer providing a unique mix of on-field leadership and clutch game-breaking plays. The onus is on the young trio of James Clark, Terry McLaurin, and Parris Campbell to fill most of the void, but you'd have to expect that's there's going to be a few growing pains along the way.
3. Who's Ready To Step Up In A Leadership Role?
The Buckeyes' quartet of Michael Bennett, Jeff Heuerman, Evan Spencer and Curtis Grant were the unchallenge on-field leaders for the Buckeyes in 2014, helping convey Urban Meyer's messages to the team's young talent in a relatable fashion. Now it's a next man up situation, likely to be filled by some combination of Joey Bosa, Joshua Perry, Ezekiel Elliott, and/or a few more of the team's returning standouts.
